Man Reviewing Document

1

Review your Proposal

Before your meeting, take time to read through your proposal, including the features, allowances, and options already included with your home. This gives you a clear understanding of what’s part of your build from the start and helps you come into the selections process confident, organized, and ready to focus on the fun design decisions ahead.

2

Know your home plan

Spend a little time getting familiar with your floor plan — room layouts, flow, and spaces where design choices matter most. When you understand how your home is arranged, it becomes much easier to picture finishes, materials, and color choices during your selections meetings.

Determine your style

Think about the overall look and feel you want for your home—modern, traditional, or a mix of styles. Bring inspiration photos—they’re very helpful in guiding your choices. Just remember, many “Pinterest-perfect” spaces feature premium finishes.

4

Prioritize your Budget

Decide which areas matter most—kitchens and bathrooms often make sense to invest in. While any extra spending is your choice, we recommend setting aside a contingency, as it’s easy to get excited and consider upgrades. Planning ahead keeps you in control and makes the process more enjoyable.

Ask Questions

Selections meetings are detailed, and it’s completely normal to need clarification. Take your time, explore your options, and ask questions about durability, maintenance, product differences, or how items fit within your allowances. Our role is to give you clear information so you can make decisions that feel right for you.
